Our online one-to-one SPM Grafik Komunikasi Teknikal tuition gives you an experienced teacher who builds your spatial reasoning and checks your technical views for errors. The first class is a one-hour trial class (from RM50).

Who this tuition helps

Technical graphics marks fall in places that can be named.

  • Picturing the object. The student cannot rotate a shape mentally, so a missing view feels like guessing.
  • Views that disagree. The front view shows the block 40 mm wide, but the top view shows 38 mm.
  • Line and dimension conventions. Hidden lines, centre lines or dimension placement are applied inconsistently.

A teacher can compare your description with the correct views and point at the exact line that is wrong.

What a lesson looks like: catching an inconsistency

This is a worked example with invented dimensions.

A block is 40 mm wide, 30 mm high and 20 mm deep. A step 10 mm wide and 10 mm high is cut away along the whole depth of the top right edge.

The teacher asks the student to predict first. From the front, the outline is an L-shape, because the top right corner is missing. From above, the outline is still a 40 mm by 20 mm rectangle, with one line drawn 10 mm in from the right edge where the step begins.

Now the student’s drawing shows a full rectangle in the front view, but a line 10 mm from the right edge in the top view. The teacher asks one question: does the front view agree with the top view? The line in the top view means there is a step, and a step must show in the front view, so a full rectangle cannot be right.

The check uses three rules.

  1. Widths match between the front and top views.
  2. Heights match between the front and side views.
  3. A feature seen in one view must also show in every other view it touches.

These rules stay the same in whichever projection system your course uses. Build the habit with checking consistency between views and reading spatial information from an original diagram.

What online lessons can and cannot do

Lessons suit spatial reasoning, view prediction, dimension and line convention review, explaining why a representation was chosen and feedback on your drawing.

Precision drawing with school instruments, drawing-office facilities and any supervised assessed drawing stay at school. A teacher cannot draw your submission for you and cannot promise a grade.

Can an online lesson check accuracy?

It checks logic well and millimetre accuracy less well. The teacher can tell you a line is in the wrong place or a dimension is missing. Fine line quality and exact measurement are best judged on paper in front of you, so the teacher asks you to measure and report.

How starting works

In your WhatsApp message, give your form and the type of drawing that troubles you. We assign an experienced teacher and agree the fee with you before the one-hour trial class (from RM50). After the trial you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and you can ask for another teacher if not.

Use the trial lesson agenda builder to choose a drawing for the first lesson. How our online tuition works describes what comes after.

Common questions

Can drawing be taught over a video lesson?

The reasoning can. You describe your drawing, the teacher checks alignment, line types and dimensions with you, and you redraw. Precision work with school instruments and any assessed drawing is done by you at school.

I struggle to imagine 3D shapes. Is that fixed?

Spatial reasoning improves with deliberate practice. The teacher starts from simple blocks, asks you to predict each view before drawing, then adds features one at a time.

What equipment do I need?

Use the drawing tools your school course expects, plus paper and a pencil for redrawing.

How much does tuition cost after the trial?

The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50. The rate depends on the teacher and is the same hourly rate as that teacher's normal classes, and the fee is agreed before the trial. Lessons are usually about 1.5 hours per class.

Can the teacher explain in English or Bahasa Melayu?

Lessons are in English or BM, depending on the subject, and the teacher explains clearly in whichever suits the student. Technical labels stay as your course uses them.

If your views never quite agree with each other, the gap is usually spatial reasoning, and a one-to-one lesson can rebuild it step by step. Tell us your form and the kind of drawing that trips you up. Parents usually arrange the trial.
