Every lesson, practice set and tool on this site is written to be used on its own, with no account and no enquiry needed. This page explains how they are made and checked, so you know how far to trust them.
How is a lesson written?
A lesson starts from a skill, not a chapter title. The writer asks what a student must be able to do by the end, then builds the explanation, one original worked example and one common mistake contrasted with the right approach.
Each lesson ends with a self-check question and an explained answer. If a student cannot do that question, the lesson has not finished its job and the next page or a teacher is the next step.
What checks does a worked example go through?
Numbers are the easiest thing to get wrong and the hardest for a student to spot. Each example is checked in this order:
- The question is solved once by the writer.
- It is solved again by a different method, for example by substituting the answer back.
- Units, signs and rounding are checked against the wording of the question.
- The explanation is read for any step that a Form 4 student would have to guess.
How are resources kept in line with the syllabus?
Official syllabus and examination information comes from Lembaga Peperiksaan (lp.moe.gov.my) and the Bahagian Pembangunan Kurikulum (bpk.moe.gov.my). Where a page states a specific rule or format, it names the source and asks you to confirm current details there.
Where a detail cannot be verified, the page describes it in general terms instead of guessing. You will see wording such as “check the current format on the LP website” for that reason.
How can you test any revision resource yourself?
Use these questions on our pages and on anyone else’s:
- Does it show the reasoning, or only the steps?
- Can you redo the example with different numbers and still get it right?
- Does it name what students commonly get wrong?
- Does it avoid promising questions or grades?
The skill evidence tracker helps you record what you can do without looking, which is a better test than how familiar a page feels.
What are the limits?
A written page cannot see your working. If you keep losing marks for reasons the lesson does not explain, the gap is probably personal, and one-to-one SPM tuition is built for that. To understand how free and paid help compare, read free notes and videos versus paid individual tuition.
