Who this tuition helps

This subject rewards exact terms. Students lose marks in familiar ways.

  • Near-synonyms. Two terms feel the same, so one is written where the other is required.
  • Right idea, loose wording. The meaning is correct but the expected term is missing.
  • Answers without structure. Definition, evidence and example arrive in random order, or one is skipped.

A teacher sitting with you can test each term with a fresh example until the difference is clear in your own words.

What a lesson looks like: separating two terms

This is an original teaching example of how a teacher might handle two neighbouring rulings, makruh and haram.

Question style: “Explain the difference between makruh and haram, with one example each.”

The student first writes a line for each, then the teacher asks what differs in the consequence of doing and of leaving.

Term Meaning in the curriculum sense Doing it Leaving it
Haram Forbidden decisively Sinful Rewarded, when avoided for Allah’s sake
Makruh Disliked, not forbidden decisively Not sinful Rewarded, when avoided for Allah’s sake

The student then builds the answer in order: term, meaning, consequence, example taken from the textbook. A weak answer says “both are not allowed”. A stronger one states that haram is prohibited with certainty while makruh is discouraged without being prohibited.

The point is a repeatable frame, not a single fact. Practise the method in distinguishing related curriculum terms using a reviewed example.

What online lessons can and cannot do

Lessons suit term clarification, answer structure, memory methods, reading textbook passages and timing for written questions. Teachers explain the curriculum as written in your course.

Personal rulings, family matters and religious guidance outside the syllabus belong with qualified religious authorities. Practical worship sessions arranged by your school remain at school.

When is one-to-one the right format?

It fits a student who can follow the content but loses marks on precision. A teacher can listen to your explanation and stop you at the exact word that is off. If you need to study the whole syllabus from scratch, tell us so the first lessons are planned for that.

How starting works

In your WhatsApp message, give your form and the terms or topics that feel confusing. We assign an experienced teacher and agree the fee with you before the one-hour trial class (from RM50). After the trial you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and you can ask for another teacher if not.

The trial lesson agenda builder helps you prepare your list of confusing terms. How our online tuition works explains the steps after the trial.

Common questions

Will the teacher explain according to the school curriculum?

Yes. The aim is to help you answer the curriculum's questions precisely, so the teacher works from your textbook and syllabus wording and explains terms as your course presents them.

Can I ask the teacher for a religious ruling for my family?

Lessons explain the curriculum content for exam purposes. Personal or family questions belong with a qualified religious authority, and the teacher will direct you there.

How does tuition improve my answers?

The teacher gives you an answer frame: term, meaning, evidence from the text, example. You practise it on past-style questions until the order becomes automatic.

What does tuition cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50. The rate depends on the teacher and is the same hourly rate as that teacher's normal classes, and the fee is agreed before the trial. Lessons are usually about 1.5 hours per class.

Can lessons be in Bahasa Melayu?

Yes. Lessons are in English or BM, depending on the subject, and the teacher explains clearly in whichever suits the student. Terms stay in the language of your paper.

If related terms blur together under exam pressure, a one-to-one lesson can separate them with examples you then use yourself. Tell us your form and the terms you mix up. Parents usually arrange the trial.
