Online one-to-one SPM Pengajian Kejuruteraan Mekanikal tuition

Your child understands machines in the workshop but struggles to explain them with a diagram or calculation.

Our online one-to-one SPM Pengajian Kejuruteraan Mekanikal tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, working on the theory, diagrams and calculations that student finds hard. The first class is a one-hour trial class from RM50, with the fee agreed before it starts.

Who this tuition helps

Students seek help in this subject for three separate reasons.

  • Principle without a picture. The student knows what a gear or lever does but cannot draw and label it the way an answer needs.
  • Calculations that drift. Units get mixed, a formula is chosen by guesswork, or the answer has no sense check.
  • Practical knowledge that does not transfer to writing. The student is comfortable in the workshop but cannot put the reason into a sentence.

A one-to-one teacher can see which of these is behind a lost mark by watching the student work a single question.

What a lesson looks like: linking a principle to a calculation

This is a worked example of the reasoning a teacher models.

A spanner 25 cm long is pulled at its end with a force of 40 N, at right angles to the spanner. Find the turning moment about the nut.

The student writes 40 × 25 = 1000 N m. The teacher asks what unit the distance has to be in for the answer to be in newton metres.

Step Working
Convert the distance 25 cm = 0.25 m
Moment = force × perpendicular distance 40 × 0.25
Answer 10 N m

The answer of 1000 was a hundred times too big, and a sense check catches it: a hand pull on a short spanner cannot produce a moment that large. The teacher also asks for the diagram: a labelled spanner with the pivot, the force arrow and the perpendicular distance marked.

The student then repeats the routine on a new lever question until the steps of converting, calculating and checking come without a prompt.

What one-to-one lessons can and cannot do

Lessons can explain principles, guide diagram practice, check calculations and give feedback on written answers. They suit students who bring the questions they lost marks on.

Workshop practice, tool handling and any assessment that needs supervision or equipment stay at school. Online lessons never replace safe practice under a school teacher.

Common questions

Can online lessons help with a subject that has workshop work?

Online lessons cover the theory side: principles, labelled diagrams, calculations and written explanations. Workshop skills and any assessment that needs tools and supervision stay at school.

My child is weak at calculations. Is this tuition suitable?

Yes. The teacher starts with units, formula rearranging and substituting numbers, then moves to the topic. Each calculation is checked against a simple estimate so the student can spot a wrong answer.

How much does the tuition cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50, charged at the same hourly rate as that teacher's normal classes. The rate depends on the teacher, and the fee is agreed before the trial. Lessons are usually about 1.5 hours per class, and the schedule is agreed with the teacher.

Can lessons be in Bahasa Melayu?

Lessons are in English or Bahasa Melayu, depending on the subject, and the teacher explains clearly in whichever suits the student. Tell us your preference when you enquire. Technical terms are taught in the language the exam uses.

Do I need equipment for the lessons?

A device with internet, paper, a pencil and a calculator are enough. Diagrams are drawn and labelled on paper or on screen, so no workshop tools are needed.

If you can work the machine but lose marks when a question asks for a principle, a diagram label or a calculation, a teacher can rebuild that link with you. Tell us the topic and form. Parents usually arrange the trial.
