Our online one-to-one SPM Al-Lughah al-Arabiah al-Muasirah tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, with lessons that give feedback on the student’s own sentences and comprehension answers. The first class is a one-hour trial (from RM50).
Who does this tuition help?
Students seek help in this subject for three reasons.
- Answers that miss the wording. The student understands the passage, but the answer is in a form the question does not call for.
- Sentence construction. Connecting words, verb forms and word order go wrong when writing a longer sentence.
- Vocabulary in use. Words are recognised in reading but cannot be used in the student’s own sentence.
A one-to-one teacher reads the student’s answers aloud with them, and sees where the language stops working.
What does a lesson look like: correcting a comprehension answer?
Picture this example. The passage says: تذهب سارة إلى المكتبة كل يوم بعد المدرسة لتقرأ القصص. The question asks why Sarah goes to the library.
A student writes: لأن تقرأ القصص. The teacher asks the student to read it back and leads them to the problem.
| Attempt | Problem | Correction |
|---|---|---|
| لأن تقرأ القصص | لأنّ needs a noun or pronoun after it, but a verb follows | لأنها تحب قراءة القصص, or simply لتقرأ القصص |
The second option keeps the passage’s own wording, which suits a comprehension answer. The first gives a full reason with a pronoun after لأنّ.
The teacher then gives the student a new sentence and a new “why” question, and asks for both forms. The skill is choosing the connecting word that fits what follows it, and checking the answer against the question.
What can and cannot online lessons do?
Lessons can give feedback on written and spoken Arabic, practise comprehension answers and build vocabulary in context. They work best when the student brings recent marked work.
Assessment arrangements, timing and format are set by your school and the examination authority. Confirm current details with your school and at the Lembaga Peperiksaan website.
How does starting work?
Send your form and say whether reading, writing or grammar feels hardest in Contemporary Arabic. Mention if you want the teacher to explain in Bahasa Melayu or English.
How our online tuition works covers the whole process. If you are also studying general Arabic, see Bahasa Arab tuition.
