Akidah practice questions with answers

You have studied the akidah skills and want questions to test them.

These seven original questions practise the four skills from Akidah learning support. Write your own answer first, then open the explanation.

Model answers follow curriculum wording. Match terms to the exact spelling in your own textbook.

Questions

Question 1. List the six rukun iman in the order your textbook gives them.

Answer

Belief in Allah, the angels, the revealed books, the messengers, the Last Day, and qada and qadar. If your textbook gives a different order, follow it. Six items, each correctly named, earn the marks; check your spelling.

Question 2. Build a one-row concept map entry for “rasul” using term, meaning and example.

Answer

Term: rasul. Meaning: a messenger chosen by Allah to deliver His guidance. Example: Nabi Muhammad SAW as the final messenger. A strong row uses a short phrase for the meaning and a named example from the textbook.

Question 3. State one difference between iman and Islam and give one example for each.

Answer

Iman is faith held in the heart and affirmed by word, as in belief in the angels. Islam is submission shown in practice, as in performing the solat. The difference sentence is what earns the mark, so state it clearly.

Question 4. A student says, “Tawakal means I do not need to study.” Explain why this is inaccurate.

Answer

The syllabus teaches tawakal as relying on Allah after making effort. A student who skips study has skipped the effort, so the claim reverses the concept. Correct version: revise first, then entrust the result to Allah.

Question 5. Give one worked example of syukur and explain why it fits.

Answer

Example: after receiving a scholarship of RM1 200, a student thanks Allah and uses part of it to buy books for a younger sibling. This shows syukur because gratitude is expressed in words and in using a blessing well. Credit goes to the link sentence.

Question 6. Rewrite this for an exam: “Everyone must believe exactly as I say, or they are wrong.”

Answer

This is a personal ruling and cannot be an exam statement. Rewrite: “The syllabus teaches the six rukun iman as the foundation of belief.” Then add the points the question asks for. Keep personal questions for a qualified teacher.

Question 7. You find an online video that describes a term differently from your textbook. List three steps to handle it before using it in revision.

Answer
  1. Compare it with your textbook wording. 2. Ask your teacher which wording the syllabus uses. 3. Keep the textbook version for exam answers and note the difference in your mistake log. Unreviewed material is a question to ask, not a source to copy.

If you got these wrong

For gaps in organising terms, return to organising core curriculum concepts. For swapped terms, see distinguishing related terms accurately.

For examples without links, read explaining examples with appropriate context. For source and ruling questions, see using reviewed sources without issuing personal religious rulings.

Common questions

Are these questions from past papers?

No. They are original practice questions that use the same skills, and they do not predict what will appear. Check the current format on the Lembaga Peperiksaan website.

Do I write full sentences?

Yes, for explanation questions. Short answers are fine for recall items. Match the length of your answer to the marks and lines on the paper you are practising.

How should I use the answers?

Write your own answer first. Then check for a textbook term, a concept, an example and a link. Wording can differ. Bring differences to your teacher, who can confirm the terms used in your textbook.

If you want your answers discussed, one-to-one Pendidikan Islam lessons let a teacher go through your attempts and set the next questions from your gaps.
