Our online one-to-one SPM Kimpalan Arka dan Gas tuition covers the theory side of the subject: terms, processes, diagrams and written answers. The first class is a one-hour trial class (from RM50).
What online welding tuition covers
Welding practice needs a workshop, equipment, protective gear and a supervisor in the room. None of that can come through a screen, so practical welding stays with your school or training workshop.
Online lessons cover the written and theory part. The teacher explains terms, reads diagrams with you and practises the answers you write on paper.
Who this tuition helps
- Students who can do but cannot name. The hands remember the task, but the term for it escapes the written answer.
- Students who mix up near terms. Two flames, two joints or two processes get mixed up.
- Students new to the vocabulary. Workshop terms arrive faster than anyone explains them.
A one-to-one teacher can ask what you saw at the workshop, then attach the correct term and reason.
What a lesson looks like: three flame types
This is a worked example of how a teacher links terms to cause and use. The exact content follows your course.
Question style: “Describe the neutral, carburising and oxidising flames in gas welding.”
The teacher does not ask for a list. The student fills a table from what they can recall of the workshop, and the teacher corrects and adds the reasoning.
| Flame | Gas mixture | Appearance | Consequence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neutral | Balanced oxygen and acetylene | Clear inner cone | Suited to common steel work |
| Carburising | Excess acetylene | Feathery extra zone | Adds carbon to the metal |
| Oxidising | Excess oxygen | Short, pointed cone | Can burn or oxidise the metal |
The teacher then asks the cause-and-effect question: why would excess acetylene put carbon into the weld? The student connects the extra fuel to unburnt carbon. The answer now explains each flame by its mixture, appearance and effect, not by memory alone.
The pattern is term, cause, result. Start practising with comparing welding terminology and process principles in classroom diagrams.
Safety comes first
Safety questions appear in theory, and the teacher covers the principles, such as why protective equipment is required and why gas cylinders are handled in set ways. These lessons explain the reasons for the rules. They never replace the training and supervision you receive at school, and you never attempt a procedure at home.
How starting works
Message us on WhatsApp with your form and the topics that feel unclear. We assign an experienced teacher and agree the fee with you before the one-hour trial class (from RM50). After the trial you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and you can ask for another teacher if not.
The trial lesson agenda builder helps you collect terms to bring. How our online tuition works explains the steps after the trial.
