Online one-to-one SPM Pendawaian Domestik tuition

Circuit diagrams look like a tangle to your child, and tracing the current feels like guessing.

Find your child's Domestic Wiring teacher9,000+ students helped through our service

Our online one-to-one SPM Pendawaian Domestik tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, with lessons that read and explain circuit diagrams without any live equipment. The first class is a one-hour trial class (from RM50), with the fee agreed before it starts.

Who does this tuition help?

Wiring questions ask you to follow a path and explain a choice, and students lose marks in a few predictable places.

  • Tracing. The student loses the path at a junction or a switch.
  • Symbols. A symbol is recognised but its role in the circuit is not.
  • Reasons. The answer states where a part goes but not why it goes there.

A quiet student may prefer to talk through a diagram one-to-one, where slow step-by-step tracing is normal and no one is waiting.

What does a lesson look like?

Here is an original conceptual example on a single lamp controlled by a switch.

A diagram shows a supply, a switch, a lamp and a return path. The switch is placed on the live side. Explain why.

The teacher asks the student to trace it with a finger: supply, switch, lamp, return. When the switch is open, the path is broken and the lamp is off.

Now the reason. If the switch were on the return side, the lamp’s live side would still be connected to the supply while the lamp appeared off. Someone touching the lamp fitting could still be at risk. Putting the switch on the live side means an off switch removes the supply from everything after it.

The student then writes the answer in two sentences: what the switch does and why its position matters for safety. The exercise works on paper and needs no equipment.

What can online lessons do, and what stays at school?

Online lessons cover reading diagrams, tracing paths, explaining the roles of parts and feedback on written answers. Everything is taught from diagrams.

Live wiring is never part of an online lesson. Practical work is done at school under supervision. The teacher does not complete assessed tasks for you and cannot promise a grade.

How does starting work?

Send your form and the wiring topic that worries you, such as circuit diagrams, cable sizing or testing. Remember that the practical work stays at school, so mention the theory part you want to cover.

Common questions

Will the teacher show me how to wire things at home?

No. Live electrical work is dangerous and is for qualified people. Lessons use circuit diagrams and explanations, and any practical wiring is done at school under supervision.

Do I need tools or a circuit board for lessons?

No. A pen, paper and your school's diagrams are enough. Please do not open sockets or switches at home.

Is this subject hard if I am not good at Physics?

The diagrams need basic ideas such as a complete circuit and the roles of live and neutral. The teacher can cover those at the level the question needs.

How much does tuition cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial (from RM50). The fee is agreed with you before the trial at the teacher's hourly rate, and lessons are usually about 1.5 hours, with the schedule agreed with your teacher.

If tracing a circuit diagram is where marks slip, lessons practise following the path one step at a time and saying why each part sits where it does. Tell us the diagram type that worries you. Parents usually arrange the trial.
