Online one-to-one SPM Menservis Peralatan Elektrik Domestik tuition

Your child knows the part names, but explaining what each part does is where marks go.

Our online one-to-one SPM Menservis Peralatan Elektrik Domestik tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, with lessons that explain appliance concepts from diagrams and calculations. The first class is a one-hour trial class (from RM50), with the fee agreed before it starts.

Who does this tuition help?

The written questions in this subject ask you to explain, not just to name.

  • Component function. The student can list a thermostat, a heating element and a fuse, but cannot say what each one does in the circuit.
  • Simple calculations. Power, voltage and current are mixed up or a unit is missing.
  • Reading a schematic. The symbols look like a code.

A student who is quiet in practical class may prefer to work through diagrams in one-to-one lessons, where a wrong guess costs nothing.

What does a lesson look like?

Here is a worked example on current and fuse rating for a fictional heater.

A heater is rated 1,200 W and runs on 240 V. What current does it draw, and why does the plug need a fuse rated a little above that?

The teacher asks which formula links the three quantities. Power = voltage × current, so current = power ÷ voltage. Then 1,200 ÷ 240 = 5 A.

The teacher asks what a fuse does. It melts and breaks the circuit when the current is too high. A 3 A fuse would blow during normal use, since 5 A exceeds 3 A. A 13 A fuse lets normal use pass but still protects the cable, because a fault that draws much more current will melt it.

The skill is turning a number into a reason. Students who can do this also find that similar questions about other appliances become easier.

What can online lessons do, and what stays at school?

Online lessons cover component functions, schematics, simple calculations and feedback on written explanations. Everything is taught with diagrams and unplugged examples.

Hands-on servicing and any assessed practical work happen at school with proper supervision. The teacher gives no instructions for repairing live equipment, and cannot promise a grade.

How does starting work?

Tell us your form and which appliance topic worries you, such as circuits in a heater, fault finding or safety. Mention whether the written theory or the diagram questions come first.

Common questions

Will the teacher tell me how to repair an appliance at home?

No. Lessons explain how appliance parts work in theory and how to answer exam questions. Electrical repair is dangerous, and practical servicing is done at school under supervision, never on a plugged-in device.

Do I need an appliance in front of me?

No. A labelled diagram or your school's notes are enough. Please do not open any appliance at home for a lesson.

Is this useful if I am weak at Physics?

Yes. Some questions use ideas such as current, voltage and power. The teacher can cover those basics at the level the question needs.

How much does tuition cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial (from RM50). The fee is agreed with you before the trial at the teacher's hourly rate, and lessons are usually about 1.5 hours, with the schedule agreed with your teacher.

If you can name an appliance part but freeze when asked why it is there, one-to-one lessons practise that explanation using a circuit on paper. Tell us the appliance topic that feels hardest. Parents usually arrange the trial.
