Our online one-to-one SPM Sains Tambahan tuition gives each student an experienced science teacher assigned to them, with lessons built around the answers that student cannot complete. The first class is a one-hour trial (from RM50).

Who does Sains Tambahan tuition help?

Marks in this subject tend to be lost in three ways.

  • Missing links. The student states a fact, such as “air resistance”, but does not connect it to the result the question asks about.
  • Crossing topics. A question draws on two areas of science, and the student treats them as separate.
  • Explaining with data. The student reads a graph or table correctly but cannot turn it into a sentence of reasoning.

A teacher in a one-to-one lesson sees where the chain breaks, because the student explains aloud before writing.

What does a lesson look like: building a chain?

Take this example. A cyclist rides down a long slope with the brakes off, speeds up, then reaches a steady speed. Explain why.

A weak answer says: “Because of air resistance.” It names a cause but does not connect it to the steady speed. The teacher asks the student to build the chain one link at a time.

  1. The downhill pull on the cyclist stays the same.
  2. As speed rises, air resistance rises.
  3. The resistance grows until it equals the downhill pull.
  4. The net force is then zero, so acceleration is zero.
  5. With zero acceleration, the speed stays constant.

Each line answers the question “so what?” from the line before. Once the student can build a chain like this in a lesson, they apply the same habit to reactions in Chemistry and to processes in Biology.

What can and cannot online lessons do?

Lessons can rebuild understanding, teach how to write linked explanations and give immediate feedback on answers. They work best when you bring questions that lost marks.

School laboratory work and any assessment set by your school stay at school. Online teaching covers theory, planning and written answers.

How does starting work?

  1. Message us on WhatsApp with the form and the chapters that feel hardest.
  2. We assign an experienced science teacher and arrange the one-hour trial class (from RM50).
  3. After the trial, you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and you can ask for another teacher if not. You and the teacher then agree the schedule and lesson focus.

The trial lesson agenda builder helps you plan what to bring. How our online tuition works explains the full process.

Common questions

What does Sains Tambahan tuition cover?

It follows the science topics your school teaches in this subject, which draw on Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Tell us your form and the chapters on WhatsApp so we can assign a suitable teacher and plan the trial.

Can the teacher help with practical work?

The teacher can explain how experiments are planned, how variables are controlled and how results are read in written questions. Practical work carried out and assessed in school is still done by the student at school.

Is tuition suitable for a student who finds science hard?

Yes. The teacher starts from what the student can already explain, and builds one linked step at a time. Each lesson ends with an answer the student can now write alone.

How much does tuition cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial (from RM50), and the fee is agreed before it starts. Lessons are usually about 1.5 hours, and you and the teacher agree the schedule.

If your answers name the right idea but skip the link between steps, bring one answer that lost marks. A one-to-one lesson can rebuild the chain. Parents usually arrange the trial.
