Pendidikan Islam revision route and checklist

You need one checklist to see which Pendidikan Islam areas are ready and which are not.

This page gives a reusable route: a checklist of skills for each area, a weekly cycle, and a way to record progress. Use it with the SPM Pendidikan Islam guide.

Confirm the current paper format and syllabus documents at lp.moe.gov.my and bpk.moe.gov.my. This route is a study aid, not an official list.

What should I be able to do in each area?

Test each skill from memory. A cell is ready only when you can do it without the book open.

Area Skill to prove Practice page
Al-Quran Connect a passage meaning to a curriculum theme Al-Quran learning support
Hadith State the teaching in one sentence Hadith learning support
Akidah Separate related terms with an example Akidah learning support
Fiqh Order steps and sort syarat from rukun Fiqh learning support
Sirah Keep events in order and draw a lesson Sirah and civilisation
Akhlak Write value, action, result Akhlak and exam response

How does the weekly cycle work?

Use a simple seven-day pattern and adjust it around school. Keep each session short enough to finish.

  1. Day 1: recall round on two areas, from memory.
  2. Day 2: one practice question per area you touched.
  3. Day 3: check answers and log errors.
  4. Day 4: repair the errors with a teacher or textbook.
  5. Day 5: recall round on two different areas.
  6. Day 6: a timed mixed set from the timed original practice session builder.
  7. Day 7: update the checklist and choose next week’s shaky areas.

How do I record progress?

After each recall round, write three short lines in your notes: what you got right, what you got wrong, and the cause. The skill evidence tracker keeps those lines in one place.

A useful record compares like with like. Note whether a score came from a recall round or a timed set, because the two cannot be compared.

What should I do with the shaky areas?

Move them earlier in the week and make each session smaller. Ask your teacher to check wording on any card that holds a term, a text or a source.

The realistic revision planner and spaced recall planner help you place sessions around school. For a teacher to work through your shaky areas with you, see online one-to-one Pendidikan Islam tuition.

Common questions

How do I use the checklist?

Copy the table into your notes, then test each skill from memory. Mark a cell ready only when you can do the skill without looking at the book. Return to the table every week and update it.

Is this the official syllabus list?

No. It groups topics by learning area for revision. Your school textbook and the current documents from Lembaga Peperiksaan and BPK give the official content and format.

How often should I revise each area?

Touch every area at least once a week in short sessions, and spend longer on the ones marked shaky. Alternating areas works better than finishing one before starting the next.

Can I use this for Form 4 as well as Form 5?

Yes. The skills apply to both years. Fit your own units into each area and check the order with your teacher.

If your checklist shows the same areas staying weak, one-to-one Pendidikan Islam lessons let a teacher work on those areas with your own answers.
