This route lists the later chapters of SPM Business in an order that builds on the early ones. Schools arrange chapters in their own order, so follow your teacher’s scheme and use this page to see the connections.
If earlier ideas are unclear, start with the Form 4 route.
What is the study order?
- Human resources: how businesses find and look after staff.
- Physical and technological resources: the equipment and systems used.
- Business finance: where money comes from and how it is used.
- Financial statements and interpretation: reading what the figures say.
- Entrepreneurship and business preparation: planning and starting a business.
The order moves from people and tools to money, then to planning with all of them.
One business across the chapters
Take a fictional example. Dapur Sari wants to add a second oven. Human resources asks who will use it, and resources asks whether the kitchen can fit it.
Finance asks how to pay for it, and the statements show whether the monthly surplus of RM850 can carry a repayment. A plan then sets out the steps. So one decision runs through every chapter.
What should you check at each chapter?
For each chapter, try one fresh case and ask whether your answer used a detail and explained an effect. If it did not, return to the lesson that teaches that skill before moving on.
Keep a short mistake log. Patterns such as mixing roles with activities or quoting income as profit show where revision time should go.
Who should start where?
If you are behind, begin at finance and statements, then return to the people chapters. If your figures are fine but explanations lose marks, go straight to interpreting performance beyond one ratio.
Use the case-answer planner for practice. For a teacher to go through the route with you, see online one-to-one Business tuition.
