Students across Terengganu can take online one-to-one SPM lessons with an experienced teacher assigned for their subject. The one-hour trial class (from RM50) is a real taught lesson, and the fee is agreed before it so you can book only if you are happy.
How does the Friday and Saturday weekend change lesson planning?
Terengganu schools run from Sunday to Thursday, and Friday and Saturday are the weekend. Kedah and Kelantan follow the same pattern, which is different from most of Malaysia.
That changes what counts as a free evening. Thursday night is the last night before the weekend, and Sunday evening is the start of a school week, not the end of one.
Why do online lessons suit a coastline state?
Terengganu stretches along the east coast, from the Kelantan border in the north to the Pahang border in the south. A family in Besut, Setiu or Dungun can choose a teacher by subject and form, not by location.
Online lessons work the same way everywhere. A student in a small coastal town meets the teacher in the same way as a student in the state capital, from a desk at home.
A worked example of a Sunday to Thursday week
Here is an illustrative example. A Form 4 student in Marang finishes school in the afternoon, has religious class on Tuesday evenings, and wants one weekly Mathematics lesson.
- Sunday evening: energy is high after the weekend, but school homework has just started.
- Wednesday evening: no class, and two school days remain before the weekend.
- Friday morning: free, and the lesson falls in the weekend.
The student and teacher choose Wednesday at 8:30 pm and keep Friday morning as a spare. The slot is agreed between the student and the teacher, so it can change when the school timetable changes.
What about the school calendar?
Check the current school term dates on the MOE website, and tell the teacher about school holidays and exam weeks so the lessons can be planned around them.
Where should a Terengganu family look next?
Each area has its own notes. See Kuala Terengganu for the state capital and Kemaman for the south. The one-hour trial class (from RM50) explains the first lesson, and the local study-access planner helps you prepare the device and study space.
