Students in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, including those at independent or international schools, can take online one-to-one SPM lessons from home. This service is not affiliated with any school.
Why would a student near international schools need SPM lessons?
A student at an independent or international school may follow another curriculum but plan to sit SPM papers too, such as Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah (History). Some arrive from abroad or change school in Form 4 or Form 5. The school timetable does not cover the SPM content, so the student studies it alone.
A one-to-one teacher can start from the SPM syllabus and the student’s current level. The one-hour trial class (from RM50) is a real taught lesson.
What should a student check before choosing SPM subjects?
Entry rules, registration and subject choices are set by Lembaga Peperiksaan. Check them on lp.moe.gov.my before planning lessons, because they can change between years.
Once the subjects are known, the next step is to find the gaps. A student who studied Bahasa Melayu only at a basic level may need time on the essay formats before the paper.
A worked example of planning SPM alongside another curriculum
Here is an illustrative example. A student in Mont Kiara studies an international programme at school and wants to sit SPM Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah.
- School hours are full, so weekday evenings are the only slot.
- Bahasa Melayu needs weekly writing practice, so it takes the longer slot.
- Sejarah needs fortnightly revision of one chapter at a time.
The student and teacher agree the order after the trial and adjust it when school exams arrive. The plan grows from what the student already knows.
